I had a hard time with my PS3 when I got it too, the 360 is plug and play, HDMI or whatever it works perfect with any TV.
Maybe Major has a point, Sony should have made the PS3 more user freindly, they did not so they get dinged for it, that is their problem, not you kids problem, quit hating on Major for pointing out the truth. We dont hang a guy everytime someone mentions the RROD.

You folks do know the 360 still outsold the PS3 on world wide basis right? It seems like many of you are forgetting that.
I have to agree with you on this, we do seem to be the smarter shoppers here in the USA, at this point it is down right foolish to buy a PS3, the price is dropping every three months and it has no games at this point in time. Just wait and you will likely get it cheaper when it actually has games. Non Americans have never been strong at long term thinking and strategy though, so I guess I understand how they might think buying now is a good idea.
I have to agree with you, who ever the guys are that keep making all these bad decisions need to be fired, clearly Sony is having problems internally considering all the odd behavior, lay offs, sell offs, and conflicting info coming from the different divisions. They really need to get it together, if firings do the trick than so be it.
Is better than any bluray player in certain areas, it has a ehternet port for internet connection, hardly any bluray players have that if any. It also loads and plays movies in a fraction of the time it takes a stand alone bluray player, they still take literally minutes to simply play the movie after you hit the play button, pure crap. PS3 is still the best bluray player, sad.
You guys really are slow, Bluray is the format that is not future proof, in fact, when furture features arrive like HDMI 1.3, everyone with the launch Bluray players will be screwed minus PS3 owners because they have ethernet ports. You guys are so uninformed, you really should do some research, I dont know much but i know more than you Sony worshipers. I can tell you this is a great feature, you bluray owners will love it. They do not use it for ads, it is great for extra content. In 300 we were able to watch the actual movie, and watch the bluscreen version of it in the pip box, it was cool watching them do the scenes without all the effects added while watching the same scene on the bigger picture in all its finished glory. Its funny watching the actors pretending to be fighting, and swinging punches at thin air.
I hate to agree with you but yeah, your right, its like they are all scared little kids covering their eyes and humming a nice tune, and telling themselves everything is fine, until all the bad things go away.
I hate to say it but, Im really starting to think the PS3 is a piece of crap. This is insane, why is a supposedly more powerful console getting everything so much later, the power of the cell is useless for games, no way in hel i would by this thing right now.
Sure all you sony appologists will say you didnt want Area 51 in the first place, but to be honest that is besides the point, the point that PS3 is crap to develop for, and this WILL hurt it in the end.
Things just keep getting worse for the PS3, I wonder how it will do next week in Europe, it sold well the last two weeks in Europe but even those sales were falling fast.

HDDVD players ALL have ehternet ports, they will ALL be capable of getting the updates to run 51GB disks. Bluray is the unfinished format, that is common knowledge for all non fanboy zombies.
You loose if you have an original (except PS3) bluray player, you will get none of the new features and specs that bluray will one day offer when the format is complete. Toshiba forced Sony to rush out a platform and it was unfinished, everyone knows this and it is really not news.
